Having been a competitive swimmer until the end of University and an office worker for over 10 years, I have experienced musculoskeletal conditions caused by both activity and lack of activity. After my own experiences and treatments, I wanted to learn more about soft tissue therapy and sport massage and how I could work with others on their own injuries, aches and pains.
I am passionate about the theory ‘movement is medicine’. My goal is to help others achieve the necessary pain free movements required for their lifestyle; whether it be for competitive sport, postural aches, work related injuries or just the desire to be able to take part in more activities with the family.
I am a fully accredited member of The Institute for Soft Tissue Therapists (ISRM), a professional association representing the interests of soft tissue therapists. My BTEC Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapy qualification ensures extensive knowledge of the human body’s physiology and anatomy, alongside techniques influenced by senior healthcare professionals, all designed to alleviate pain and restore muscular and postural balance.
I have had the opportunity to work closely with triathletes, marathon runners, footballers, swimmers and even motorbike riders, however, please do not think soft tissue therapy is just for those participating in sports. I regularly see office workers, NHS Staff, trade workers and military personnel all who have aches, pains or injuries from their day jobs and lifestyles.
I look forward to meeting you!
